​Mel The Physio

Mel The Physio now has a treatment rooms in the beautifully relaxing City Cave in Mermaid Waters. With over 14 years experience in private practice Melanie has a passion for helping people succeed in their chosen path.

She completed a Sports Science degree with a practical component at the Australian Institute of Sport prior to doing her Masters in Physiotherapy in 2006 at the University of Sydney. She is currently a member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association.

Her passion lies with women’s health, pregnancy and post-natal rehab, and she loves sports physiotherapy having worked with numerous athlete's in Rugby Union, Golf, Dance and currently works with Tennis Australia in particular with Wheelchair Tennis. 

She believes in discovering the cause of your pain and injury and will use her extensive clinical experience to find the best solution for you.
The types of injuries she treats include: Back/SIJ pain, headaches, pelvic floor training, pregnancy/post natal recovery, jaw pain, shoulder, knee, post surgery rehab and chest physio.

Melanie has also had experience in Dry Needling, Hydrotherapy, and Clinical pilates. She loves to be able to help people reach their goals and find their inner belief. She loves the beach, enjoys the gym, stand-up paddle boarding and yoga.
